Hobby Courses

Learn hand building techniques with clay and make a range of pots and sculptures. 

This course is aimed at beginners and the more experienced ceramic artists.

During the course, you will be introduced to traditional hand building techniques such as thumb, slab and coil pot making. You will experiment with surface mark making, decoration techniques as well as glazing.

Step by step guidance will be given with a range of taught seasonally themed projects or create your own masterpieces. By the end of the course you should have a few pieces ready to take home.

Course Location:

This course will be held at the North Road campus, in Poole- BH14 0LS. Starting Wednesday 18th September to Wednesday 27th Novemeber 2024. No class on Wednesday 30th October. This course will run from 5 pm to 7 pm, every Wednesday evening.
