DNA 24

DNA - Level 3 Year 2 Performance

Description

Collaborative Fest - Two Hander Adaptation of DNA

The project this term required the studetns to adapt the twenty first century play DNA written by Dennis Kelly. We have two adaptations, Act 1 a play with song called "Dangerous Games" and Act 2 a dance peice called "Downfall".

Act 1 - "Dangerous Games" Betrayal. Bonds. Deceit. A group of students try to escape the consequences of their actions after they 'accidentally' kill one of their classmates. They refuse to realise they're to blame which causes them to frame an innocent bystander, little do they know they're running from something bigger than they have ever expected. Come along and see the truth unfold....

Act 2- "Downfall" is a contemporary dance performance that investigates group dynamics, moral conflict, and the consequences of actions. It depicts the conflict between individuality and conformity through dynamic choreography, caputring the emotional turmoil and ethical dilemmas that youth face when navigating lies, manipulation, and peer pressure.

Trigger Warning notice: Contains haze, flashing lights, occasional loud sound, the play contains adult themes: bullying and suicide.
