In brief... 

The Junior Chefs' Certificate is designed for young people aged between 14 and 16 years of age who have a lively interest in cooking and wish to develop professional cookery skills and techniques relevant to the Hospitality and Catering Industry.

We are only 1 of 5 colleges in the UK that are able to run the Junior Chefs' Academy course.

Who is it for? 

This is for anybody who enjoys cooking and would like to learn a more professional approach.

Course Description

Course Content 

The programme commences with an induction on the correct use of equipment and other health and safety issues. You will be taught cookery skills commencing with vegetable cuts and soups to develop your knife skills. On your last day you will be presented with a certificate of completion.

More about the course 

You will be required to wear non-slip shoes that cover and protect your feet, black trousers, and a white T-shirt. You will also need to bring a tea towel and container to take home your finished dishes.
